It's truly an exciting time for Philippine boxing. Two of the sport's top pound-for-pound fighters in Manny Pacquiao and Nonito Donaire Jr. are making headlines for their pugilistic brilliance while inspiring a new generation of aspiring world champions. The floodgates have opened for talent coming from the Philippine archipelago, thanks in large to Pacquiao's ascension as this era's best fighter.
In light of this, I have decided to put together my own list of Philippine boxing's top 10 pound-for-pound fighters. By no means is this official, and the list is definitely open to debate and discussion. The basis of my rankings are ring accomplishments, level of competition, together with overall skill.
